Barato Cultural is an online community and marketplace for artists, producers, writers and artisans, where knowledge, divulgation, sale and purchase of cultural products is promoted.
Through virtual shops that are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, this marketplace allows independent artists to make a living off of their own art, while offering a unique and diverse showcase for potential buyers.
After just two months online, Barato Cultural already counted more than 100 stores, with over 500 products for sale. From books and magazines, to music, movies and videos, as well as pictures, handicraft, fine arts and design, at this marketplace it is possible to find a huge variety of art, in addition to the existence of a cultural bazaar and a blog that is updated for and by the community.
In compliance with our strategy of expansion into the Latin American market, this project resulted from a partnership between BloomIdea and Esteio Editora, a startup from Brazil.
It was BloomIdea’s responsibility to create and develop the best business plan for Barato Cultural, which included everything from design, web and mobile programming to e-commerce and digital marketing. An experienced and dedicated team of designers, marketing managers and web developers worked in unison to launch the project that has been highly praised by the specialized press in Brazil, thanks to its creativity and utility.

The Portuguese Coalition for Digital Employability presented itself to the online world with a website whose design and development makes up another project which BloomIdea is proud to have been a part of. Fully responsive, the site adapts to all devices on which it may be displayed, and it also provides a simple and intuitive back office, which makes managing and editing content super easy. In addition, it was developed with the perspective of respecting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
